  • Present your identity card: At the time of withdrawing the payment check, the beneficiary must present his/her valid personal identification card
  • Be within the delivery schedule: Checks are delivered from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., so it is important that the beneficiary shows up during this time, because after this time, he or she will no longer be able to receive assistance.

When is the payment by check for retirees and pensioners in July 2024?

According to the CSS schedule, retirees and pensioners in Panama will be able to collect their first payment of the month on Monday 8thwhile the second can be withdrawn by Monday 22nd of that month.

On the other hand, for payment by Automated Clearing House (ACH), the date of the first deposit was the Friday 5th July, while the second payment will be made on Friday 19th.

How to complete the process for retirement in Panama?

The process to apply for retirement from Social Security includes the following steps and requirements:

Documents:

  • Copy of Personal Identity Card: Must be current and legible.

For Residents Abroad:

  • Broad or general power of attorney and copy of the ID of the person authorized to process in Panama.
  • If the power of attorney is issued abroad, it must be authenticated by the Embassy of Panama in the country of origin and sealed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama.
  • If the power of attorney comes from a country that is a signatory to the HAGUE Convention, it must have the Apostille stamp and signature before a notary.

If you do not have a Panamanian Identity Card:

  • Present a copy of your updated passport and general immigration information if you have remained in Panama.
  • If you have never entered the country, attach a Birth Certificate from your country of origin translated into Spanish by an accredited interpreter, if it is in another language.
